Patent Administrative Proceedings

Quasi Judicial Proceedings

After a patent issues, the owner of the patent or a third party can request the Patent Office to consider whether new information impacts the validity of the patent via Supplemental Examination or Ex-Parte Reexamination. Additionally, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board conducts several types of quasi-judicial proceedings in which various challenges to the validity of a patent can be adjudicated, including Post Grant Review, Inter Partes Review, , Covered Business Method Review, and Derivation Proceedings. Whether you are the patent owner or the party challenging patentability, with our experience, we can help guide you through the process.
