Jay practices primarily in the area of patent and trademark prosecution, and he has been actively involved in litigation as well. Direct and to the point, he prides himself in providing honest and straightforward counsel. Jay is admitted to practice in both Wisconsin and Michigan, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is currently a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, the Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. A Boyle Fredrickson shareholder, he earned both his undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering (1992) and his law degree (1996) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While attending law school, an article Jay authored appeared in the Wisconsin International Law Journal. After law school, Jay practiced at a prominent intellectual property firm in Michigan before returning to Milwaukee in 1998. (414) 225-6300
