Keith's practice focuses on patent prosecution, counseling on the strategic use of patents, and prelitigation management of patent disputes. He works especially well in complex technologies or fields where effective patent protection or broad protection is difficult, helping companies prioritize and make well-informed IP decisions.
His representative clients include: Rockwell Automation, Inc.; Illinois Tool Works; Epic Systems; Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (the licensing arm of the University of Wisconsin); MGS Mfg. Group; and Standard Imaging, Inc.
After graduating with honors from Georgetown Law, Keith practiced first with General Electric, and then as a partner at the firm of Quarles and Brady. A member of the State Bars of Wisconsin and Connecticut, he is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. A Boyle Fredrickson shareholder, he earned his undergraduate degree from Yale in electrical engineering. He resides in Brookfield, Wisconsin with his family.
