Leeck, Heidmann Join Boyle Fredrickson

Boyle Fredrickson, Wisconsin’s largest, full service intellectual property law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of attorneys Dr. Charles L. Leeck and Keith H. Heidmann to its team.

Leeck is an experienced intellectual property counselor and patent prosecutor. Before entering law, he did graduate studies in biochemistry and post-doctoral research in developmental biology, funded by a National Institutes of Health Post-Doctoral Fellowship. His practice focuses on the biological, pharmaceutical and chemical arts, and includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications as well as developing patent portfolio strategies, conducting intellectual property evaluations, and due diligence reviews.

Heidmann’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the chemical and biotechnical arts for research institutions and start-ups and further includes the counsel, evaluation, and communication of complex intellectual property issues. Before earning his law degree, Heidmann studied the history of science and the natural sciences, with graduate studies in biological sciences. He is an active member of the American Association of the Advancement of Science, as well as the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Milwaukee Bar Association

Both Leeck and Heidmann are licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, are members of the State Bar of Wisconsin and are registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
