Boyle Fredrickson Hosts Professional Engineers for Patent Seminar

Professional engineers who attended Boyle Fredrickson’s patent fundamentals session earlier this month earned two professional development hours each at the event, which was designed especially for them by firm attorney Eric Schlevensky.

This was the first time the firm coordinated a professional development seminar for engineers.

“It was a pleasure to help these professional engineers meet their competency requirements for Wisconsin. They had many questions about patents and the America Invents Act that we were happy to answer for them,” said Schlevensky, who joined the firm in 2008.

Before earning his law degree from Marquette University, Schlevensky spent 11 years as a practicing electrical engineer, primarily in product development. Currently, his practice focuses on patent and trademark prosecution. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar, the Patent Bar and other professional organizations.

Engineers who attended the presentation earned two professional development hours (PDHs) toward the state’s continuing professional competency requirement for professional engineers.

The event, which was held at Boyle Fredrickson’s office at 840 N. Plankinton Ave. ran from 6 to 8 p.m. June 19 and was followed by an hour-long networking reception.
